I&T Wish Real Time Maintenance Data Acquisition to Map Based Dashboard for Traffic Light, Lift, Escalator and Pumps
(REF: W-0485)
Matched I&T Solution
Trial Project
Summary and Challenges
  • In public facilities, E&M (Lift, Escalator, Traffic Light, Pumps) equipment play a crucial role in the society. These equipment generate vast amounts of data that can be used to optimize performance and improve overall productivity.
  • Challenges:
    1. Data Collection: The system involves collecting data from different types of electrical and mechanical equipment. This includes configuring the equipment with suitable device to send data via various communication protocols such as, but not limited to HTTP API, web socket, TCP socket, and MQTT to one unified platform. Some communication devices and sensors are required to be installed or configured manually on target E&M equipment in order to provide data sent to platform.
    2. Data Storage: Once the data is collected, it needs to be stored in a centralized IoT database for further analysis.
    3. Data Analysis: The collected data is analyzed in real-time, and insights into equipment performance are generated. This involves using various data analysis techniques, including machine learning algorithms, to identify patterns, trends, and anomalies in the data.
    4. Visualization and Reporting: The system must provide easy-to-use visualization and reporting capabilities to monitor equipment performance and identify potential issues. This includes generating reports and dashboards that provide real-time insights into equipment performance.
Expected Outcome
  • This project aims to develop a Data Collection & Management System solution through the web application of Map system to achieve the following objectives:
    1. Set up a unified platform to collect all kind of data by different kind of protocol such as but not limited to HTTP API, web socket, TCP socket, MQTT IoT;
    2. Integrate with existing E&M equipment connection by existing communication device provided and acquire real time status through IoT sensors;
    3. Provide microservice-based process for collected data in real-time, performing analysis, aggregations, and computations to extract meaningful insights;
    4. Implement AI model and statistical techniques to identify patterns, anomalies and performance indicators;
    5. Provide easy-to-use visualization and reporting capabilities to monitor equipment performance and identify potential issues;
    6. Present the data and dashboard on map via MAP API by web page;
    7. Implement data encryption in transit;
    8. Provide access control mechanisms to ensure that only authorized person can access the data.
    9. Remarks: The proposer of the solution should submit an I&T solution proposal to EMSD on or before the closing date. It should include a preliminary design concept with block diagrams, system architecture, specifications and budgetary ballpark cost estimate. EMSD may invite the proposer to conduct a presentation on their proposal.
Expected Trial Duration 9-month
