Summary and Challenges
  • Development and adoption of high energy density battery on UAV with a view to achieve longer flight time and higher payload.
  • The high energy density battery shall have the battery safety related certification, e.g. IEC 62133, UN38.3, etc.
  • The energy density of the battery shall reach 320 Wh/kg at least, with the feasibility to reach 500 Wh/kg.
  • The Service Provider shall test the performance of the high energy density battery on a designated type of UAV for the completion of this study. The Service Provider may be required to procure the UAV if necessary.
Expected Outcome
  • Measurement and verification on the benefits of using high energy density battery on UAV.
