Summary and Challenges
Development and adoption of high energy density battery on UAV with a view to achieve longer flight time and higher payload.
The high energy density battery shall have the battery safety related certification, e.g. IEC 62133, UN38.3, etc.
The energy density of the battery shall reach 320 Wh/kg at least, with the feasibility to reach 500 Wh/kg.
The Service Provider shall test the performance of the high energy density battery on a designated type of UAV for the completion of this study. The Service Provider may be required to procure the UAV if necessary.
Expected Outcome
Measurement and verification on the benefits of using high energy density battery on UAV.
