Trial Project
Summary and Challenges
The exacerbation of population aging has led to increasingly severe issues like cognitive impairments and dementia, necessitating effective training to delay these problems and enhance the quality of life and independence of the elderly. The trend of innovative technologies being applied to elderly care is on the rise, with 3D augmented reality (AR) technology offering a completely new training experience. Personalized and engaging training systems promote a societal focus on elderly health and provide better support services.
Expected Outcome
We aim to develop a training system that incorporates traditional mahjong game elements and style to increase the appeal and familiarity of training for the elderly. The primary focus will be on using smart glasses combined with 3D Augmented Reality for training and gaming, allowing the interaction to assist the elderly in cognitive behavioral training. The training will enhance the visual-spatial skills, attention and logical thinking abilities of the elderly.
The System requirements include:
Use of augmented reality (AR) glasses, which users will wear during operation. Virtual mahjong tiles are randomly overlaid in the real environment, requiring users to arrange them in designated positions according to instructions.
Incorporation of a scoring system in the game to enhance its challenge and entertainment value.
Backend server support for multiple AR glasses simultaneously, capable of recording multiple key parameters and generating trend charts.
Expected Trial Duration
6-month
