Summary and Challenges |
- Some of the current challenges includes the following:
- Reducing electricity costs and minimizing emissions.
- Prolonging lifespan of the drainage pumps by eliminating unnecessary pump operations.
- Spread out the startups of pumps ahead of peaks in flow to reduce surge in electricity demand.
- Minimizing risks of overflow.

Expected Outcome |
- The prototype of artificial intelligent system shall include the following features:
- Prediction of sewage flow rate of MPS1 and MPS2 for the whole DSD Pumping System.
- An AI-driven optimization system for pump control, pump scheduling, energy management and reduction in overall energy consumption.
- Providing predictive strategies and reporting capabilities to monitor the performance of the optimized pumping operation.
- Integration with the existing infrastructure, pump control systems and data exchange protocols.
- A report with 2-days prediction graph with a 1-day comparison graph (prediction vs actual).
- Sample comparison graph is attached.
