Artificial Intelligence On-street Parking Sensing and Recognition System
I&T Wish
Artificial Intelligence On-street Parking Sensing and Recognition System (REF: W-0575)
Matched I&T Solution
Trial Project
Summary and Challenges
Existing parking meters are equipped with mmWave radar sensors to detect whether parking spaces are occupied. By adopting an artificial intelligence solution, the accuracy rate is aimed to further increase.
On-street parking spaces are sometimes occupied by non-vehicle objects, so the solution also needs to be able to identify the type of occupying object, enabling cases to be referred more quickly to the relevant departments.
The proposed sensor(s) can be installed in the parking meters or adhere to the parking meter poles. A portal for testers to retrieve the real-time occupancy status of parking spaces shall be available.
Expected Outcome
Utilize AI sensors (such as AI-powered camera sensors, AI LiDAR, or AI CMOS image sensors) in the most cost-effective manner to detect parking spaces, achieving a high-precision detection rate with a minimum accuracy of 98%.
Identify non-vehicle objects like trash, hand carts, etc., and automatically generate reports to notify the concerned enforcement departments.
Fully automate the data processing to calculate the utilization rate of parking spaces.
Expected Trial Duration
2-month
