Summary and Challenges
  • Perovskite solar cells (PSCs)offer high efficiency, low manufacturing cost, and mechanical flexibility, making them a promising alternative to silicon solar cells. However, their wide adoption is hindered by instability, as perovskite materials degrade rapidly when exposed to moisture, oxygen, heat, and UV light.
  • Fabrication and adoption of PSCs with enhanced energy efficiency and extended lifespan.
  • Application on manhole cover to drive IoT sensors for manhole monitoring. The manhole cover shall have a Floor Slip Resistance R Ratings R9 or R12.
Expected Outcome
  • Measurement and verification on the benefits of perovskite over conventional solar cell materials.
  • Feasibility of solar energy collector on manhole application.
