| Summary and Challenges |
- Develop and adopt a graphene-based coating to improve the energy efficiency of Air-cooled Chillers and prolong the systems service life.
- The coating shall provide good thermal conductivity and a high surface area for heat conduction.
- The coating shall enable a 5% to 10% or more improvement in energy efficiency.
- The Service Provider shall obtain baseline data of the existing system prior to coating application, or log sufficient data to complete this study when deemed necessary.
- The Service Provider shall test the performance of the Graphene based coating on the Air-cooled Chillers after implementation. Where monitoring is shorter than one year, normalization shall be applied to estimate annual savings.
- The data includes shall included but not limited to Chilled-water supply temperature, Chilled-water return temperature, Chilled-water flow rate, Chiller power and Ambient dry-blub temperature.
- The Service Provider shall carry out all necessary works for coating application on the condenser side of the Air-cooled Chillers, including coil cleaning and surface preparation, and conduct all associated OSH related actions.
