Summary and Challenges

This project aims to develop a data communication network for remote power quality monitoring and energy management for the SPPBs at KTCT.

There are five SPPBs operating at the apron of KTCT, which are over 800 metres in length. As the SPPBs can move along the rails to suit the different sizes of cruise liners, such a "movable" design has made a fixed communication network not possible.

Therefore, we would like to make use of mobile IoT technology such as NB-IoT or LoRaWan to set up a wireless network.

Expected Outcome This project aims to develop data communication network for remote Power Quality Monitoring and Energy Management for SPPB at KTCT
Expected Trial Duration 6 month
