Summary and Challenges

This project aims to analyse the characteristics of retired batteries from electric vehicles (EVs) and to explore their second life usage.

We would need to study the characteristics of these retired batteries and explore their potential usage and applications. Potential usage options include replacement of central UPS (uninterruptible power supply), mobile EV charger, and stationary charging facilities with renewable energy input.

Expected Outcome This project is to analyze the characteristics of retired batteries from electric vehicle and formulate the way forward of batterys' 2nd life usage.
