Battery-free IoT Sensor Technology for Outdoor Application
(REF: P-0254) |
| Matched I&T Wish |
|
| Matched I&T Solution |
|
| Solution Feature |
- Bi-directional antenna design will be employed to maximize the collection of available ambient RF power in an outdoor environment.
- Dual polarized antenna design will be adopted to alleviate the polarization mismatch of incoming RF signals.
- The system supports multiple bands. Ambient RF signal strengths across different frequencies can vary significantly at different locations. Multiband antennas and rectifiers will be developed to enhance the compatibility of the system.
- Low duty cycle and low power wireless sensors can be powered up by outdoor ambient RF signals only. Weatherproof design will be taken into consideration.
- Sensor data can be uploaded to the Government-Wide IoT Network (GWIN) via a gateway to interchange wireless protocols.
