Summary and Challenges

Conventionally, workers need to work at height to perform manual cleaning on glass wall of footbridge lifts. In order to eliminate the risk of working at height and enhance the efficiency of cleaning, we hope to find robotic solutions for cleaning the glass of footbridge lifts.

The robot shall be portable, quick installed (0.5 to 1hr of installation time) and could be firmly attached to the glass wall when deployed in action. The power of the robot/device shall be self-contained with battery inside. The robot/device shall be programmable or remote controllable and could work on separated pieces of glass during cleaning.

Expected Outcome

To explore the use of I&T solution to help cleaning glass wall of footbridge lifts.
