| Summary and Challenges | The project aims to develop a smart train door and platform screen door (PSD) closing system at MTR platforms to prevent passengers from being hurt or nipped by doors closing. While ensuring passenger safety, the system design should also take into consideration effective railway operation. It would need to address the challenges of crowded conditions on MTR platforms during rush hours. The project should study the behaviour of passengers queuing on MTR platforms and propose a methodology for safe and effective closing of train doors and PSD. |
