Solution Feature
  • HPS fabricated a scalable perovskite solar cell by using printable device procedure; the use of indoor photovoltaic cells to power billions of wireless devices for a future Internet of Things (IoT) nodes is becoming possible.
  • The prototype perovskite solar cells (active area 1.5 x 1.5 cm) achieved power conversion efficiency over 25% within 120 μΑ / 980 mV generated 0.15 mW under 1000 lux indoor light (2700 K fluorescent light).
  • By designing perovskite material with suitable bandgap and suppressed trap defects can attain a higher efficiency with increased open circuit voltage and minimal short-circuit current loss.
  • Indoor photovoltaic cells are integrated into large-scale modules with well sealing technology that can demonstrate long-term stability.
  • The indoor light harvesting by perovskite photovoltaics cell can offer consecutive power for low-power consumption smart electronics e.g. temperature and humidity sensors under off-grid environment.
