Summary and Challenges The Digital trunked radio system (DTRS) is built on the Terrestrial Trunked Radio (TETRA) standard with advanced digital radio communication technology, which enables better processing capacity, interoperability among products by different manufacturers and allows greater flexibility in future enhancement. We are now searching for a DTRS Radio Signal Strength monitoring sensing device which shall interface with the LoRaWAN Gateway (Standard V1.0.2 or above).

The System shall:
  • Monitor the real-time signal strength of the DTRS, including the following requirement:
    • i) Able to measure signal strength at various target frequency band (frequency selective) to ensure the coverage and service level of critical communication systems. For example, 400 MHz.
    • ii) Radio Frequency (RF) Output power
    • iii) Received power
    • iv) noise
  • System alert when the monitoring parameters fall below threshold;
  • The system shall deploy LoRaWAN technology & shall operate in AS923MHz frequency band;
  • The project trial period would last for half year to one year; E)The data transmitted shall be sent to EMSD owns LoRaWAN network server with specified data format, for further integrate with the LoRaWAN Gateway, Network Server, and EMSD owned IoT network server platform.



The solution provider could also propose other smart features to further enhance the proposal.
Expected Outcome Solution provider shall be responsible for design, supply and install such sensors.
