- With Artificial Intelligence, the solution automates the Surveillance of Unsafe or Non-compliant Household Electrical Products sold on E-commerce Platforms
- The system captures EMSD’s domain knowledge of identifying unsafe or non-compliant products through BOTH rule-based and model-based (machine learning) detection (initial and ongoing) powered by Text Analytics / Natural Language Processing (NLP).
- The system assists (and not totally replaces) EMSD experts by generating alerts of suspected products for them to review.

| Trial Application and Expected Outcome |
- Crawlers for E-Commerce Channels, Database of Product Attributes and Shop Profiles Updated Regularly, and Parser of pre-set attributes.
- Alert Mechanism based on matching of rules of the product attributes if they do not satisfy the safety standards.
- Alert Mechanism based on the published recall and suspension product list.
- User Interfaces for EMSD Experts to check recent records and suggested warnings to confirm and modify. List of UIs: search interface, details page for each records, interface for modifying the warnings.
- User Interfaces for EMSD Experts to add more checking rules if they are similar to the existing ones. List of UIs: admin interface to add users, interface for modifying rules with pre-set templates.
