Summary and Challenges
  • This project aims to develop an intelligent real-time monitoring system for unmanned plant room on pump system status and video analytics. It shall continuously monitor the key indicators of pump healthiness, including but not limited to: temperature, vibration, torque, insulation resistance.
  • It shall include a intelligence platform to collect, store and perform analysis to identify abnormalities and achieve predictive maintenance purpose.
  • The system shall also equip with video-analytic and edge-computing capability to perform local device analysis on fire detection, water leakage detection, smoke detection and human fall detection.
  • The platform shall support the use of agreed tool (eg. Raspberry Pi) for development, if necessary. When abnormalities are detected, the system shall generate and submit alert to Building Management System (BMS) and Regional Digital Control Centre (RDCC).
Expected Outcome
  1. Real Time Monitoring System on pumps and motors mainly includes temperature, vibration, torque, insulation resistance, etc. 
  2. Enable edge-computing video analytics at unmanned plant room for emergency detection,eg. fire detection, water leakage detection, smoke detection and human fall detection
  3. Perform artificial intelligence analytics and algorithms on edge computing of video and pump sensor data
  4. Data collected shall be transferred to Regional Digital Control Centre (RDCC) of EMSD and analyzed for future planning of PM & CM
  5. Handover training
