The Hong Kong Institution of Engineers (HKIE) is organising the HKIE Innovation Expo under the theme of "Engineering into Future", with an aim to strengthen the network between the stakeholders in the engineering industry and I&T ecosystem within Hong Kong and the Greater Bay Area. The Expo also provides an arena for building a talent pool, and provides the young engineering talents an opportunity to realise their innovation ideas for future advancement. The Event consists of exhibitions, showcases, competitions, seminars and "The HKIE Enginpreneurs Award". The Electrical and Mechanical Services Department will set up a virtual booth and online seminar to showcase the innovative applications at HKIE Innovation Expo.

The City I&T Grand Challenge, organised by Innovation and Technology Commission, has been launched for the public to submit applications (Deadline of application is 30 June 2021).
In light of the new normal under the epidemic, the theme of the competition this year is "Innovating for Hong Kong's New Normal" and invites all sectors of the community to put forward innovation and technology (I&T) solutions focusing on two issues, namely environmental sustainability and social connectivity, to tackle problems facing the city and people in their daily lives. A series of workshops and other activities will also be held to create an I&T atmosphere in the whole community.

The Launch Event of "City I&T Grand Challenge", organised by Innovation and Technology Commission, will be held virtually on 18 Dec 2020 2:30 to 3:00pm.
